The walls of our eating/gathering space (The Feed Loft) is installed with a picture hanging system and spot lighting to showcase artwork shown in various themes through out the year. It is our mission to support the arts and it is our vision to see artists of all ages and skill levels show their work together as a reflection of our own diverse community.

Artist’s inspiration: Since the beginning of time we have used tools to help us make. They are treasured parts of us, worn perfect with use, and often passed down for generations. Let’s visually celebrate our tools as a reflection of who we are.

“The History of the Canterbury Country Store”
In collaboration with Elkins Public Library, the Canterbury Historical Society and local historian Mark Stevens, our Community Art Gallery is hosting a visual display of our town centre’s history of stores. May 16 – June 30
Mark Stevens will be presenting a historical talk and slide show on Thursday, May 16, 6:00 in the Town Meeting House. Visit the Feed Loft/Community Art Gallery where his historic photos will be hung along side the local artist’s depictions of the Canterbury Centre’s store. Also see many artifacts from the store over the years.

Artist’s inspiration: Architecture and buildings are often painted and sketched, especially older ones; they mark our place in time. There have been many such store buildings in Canterbury photographed and recorded. Let’s reproduce those images in our own mediums using the historic photos on our About Page or simply by reproducing the store as it is currently.
